In 1997, Corrado and his wife Cecilia founded the Valle Roncati Agricultural Company out of pure passion and the desire to revive the ancient grape-growing tradition of the Fassa family, thus following in the footsteps of his grandfather Giuseppe Fassa, a winegrower in Briona since the beginning of the twentieth century. The decision to become winemakers in the eastern hills of Piedmont was rational rather than accidental, although partially dictated by the heart.
The winery is in the territory of Briona (Novara), part of the Nebbiolo area of "Alto Piemonte" (Northern Piedmont) and the vines are distributed over the areas of Briona, Sizzano and Ghemme for a total of 15 hectares. Ever since the grape harvest of 2005, the company has been making wine from its own grapes in its quest for top quality products. A small company, born out of passion, whose sole purpose is to produce vintage wines obtained through meticulous, traditional winemaking skills.
