Have you ever opened a bottle of good priced wine that you were unfamiliar with, expecting to have a simple, unpretentious glass of wine but then be pleasantly surprised by the wine's excellent characteristics? It's almost as if you found a small treasure.
It also gives you a sense of satisfaction in knowing that you got a good deal and didn't have to spend a small fortune in order to have a good bottle of wine.

GV Selections represents smaller Italian wineries dedicated to producing good value, handcrafted wines. These family owned vineyards are not large corporations that put out millions of bottles of commercially adequate, predictable and homogeneous wines. They are passionate winemakers who take great care in every step of the process to personally deliver quality, natural, reasonably priced and interesting artisan wines.

Italian wines are remarkable both for their quality and their diversity.
Currently there are over 400 DOC and DOCG wines in Italy, with 500+ indigenous vines. GV Selections carefully selects original wines made on a smaller scale by those who genuinely care about what they create.

I Capitani - Taurasi "Bosco Faiano"
DOCG

Color: Deep burgundy with sparkling shades of red.
Nose: Ethereal, complex, with notes of licorice and vanilla against a re?ned background of berries. Tertiary features are well highlighted, pleasantly balsamic with pink pepper and exotic spice.
Palate: Full bodied. Dry, rounded, harmonic, with an intense and persistent aftertaste, reminiscent of sour black cherries and berries. Complex and long.
Serving suggestions:
Best served with red meat or game, as well as aged and spicy cheeses.

San Venanzio - Prosecco Valdobbiadene Sup. Cartizze DOCG

Color: Straw yellow color which is brilliant thanks to the integration of the “perlage”.
Nose: The scent is well balanced and intense, with notes of apple, pear, peach, honey, citrus fruits and wild flowers.
Palate: Harmonic and elegant, the flavor is intense and elegant, with fullness and length.
Serving temperature: Serve at 7-8° C.
Serving suggestions:
It should be paired with tasty dishes like goose liver patè or with canapés of smoked salmon. Cartizze goes well also with fruit tarts, focaccie (flat bread) and pastry.

Dellavalle - Barbera d'Asti Sup. "Aenigma" DOCG

Tasting notes: This wine has a dark ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose reveals intense and complex aromas of matured fruit and the ageing in oak barrels has granted it a pleasant hint of vanilla. It has a delicate freshness, is well balanced and full-bodied. For those who love "robust" Barberas, this wine is ideal for special occasion lunches and dinners and combines especially well with meat dishes.
